Don’t adopt the P!nk mentality that just because you like sports and you don’t want to shop all the time that you’re better than other women. “I’m better than those other stupid bitches” does not empower women (*glaring at Tina Fey*). The problem isn’t that women like shopping and pink and not doing sports on an individual basis. The problem is that women haven’t been given the option in society to be multidimensional and reject those things or try other things or enjoy multiple things. So please can we not act like women who like pink and shopping and small dogs are “bringing our gender down” just because they aren’t like you? We don’t all need to be the same in that we’re all encouraged to like pink and shopping in the same way that we don’t all need to wear business suits and glasses and be “respectable” or whatever. Shit. If we’re all told we have to do our nails it’s fucked up but if we’re all told “you have to fix cars or else you’re bringing the gender down” it’s still fucked up because it doesn’t allow for us to be individuals and have agency over our interests.
Putting down things that are traditionally feminine, and making feminine women (and by extension men and NB’s who are feminine) is anything but “feminist”.

Hawaii-based photographer Christy Lee Rogers specializes in creating dreamlike photos of people underwater. Her project Reckless Unbound shows people swirling around one another while wearing colorful outfits. The photos are reminiscent of the paintings of old Baroque masters, who would often paint people floating around in heavenly realms.
Rogers creates her photos in swimming pools at night. The scenes are illuminated with bright off-camera lights, and the shoots often last two to four hours each.
GUP Magazine writes,
Christy Lee Rogers reshapes the boundaries between contemporary photography and painting, with her series Reckless Unbound. While provoking the audience with vivacious movements and purpose, she also stirs the viewer’s memories of baroque painter Pieter Paul Rubens and his Massacre of the Innocents.
Without the use of post-production manipulation, Rogers’ works are made in-camera, on the spot, in water and at night. She applies her technique to bodies submerged in water during tropical nights in Hawaii. Through a fragile process of experimentation, she builds elaborate scenes of coalesced colours and entangled bodies that exalt the human character as one of vigour and warmth, while also capturing the beauty and vulnerability of the tragic experience that is the human condition.
You can see more of her work over on her website.

The Hufflepuff common room is known as the coziest and most secure at Hogwarts. Just like badgers, Hufflepuffs live underground in circular rooms that are accessed through a hidden tunnel. Located near the kitchens it is the only common room that does not require a password but a rhythm tapped out on barrels. However get it wrong and you will find yourself doused in vinegar as it is also the only common room with a repelling device. Once inside you will find rooms filled with plants, patchwork quilts, and sunlight giving it a homely atmosphere that is said to always feel warm and welcoming.
